During the course of the study, Mr. Johnson met with CMLR personnel
on two other occasions. On 5 August 19f11, a meeting was requested to
determine an adequate production sample size. CMLR personnel after
reviewing the results of field sampling stated that 60 production samples
in each vegetation type would be sufficient for setting the baseline
standard for production. See Mr. Johnson's memo of 4 August 1981.
On 3 September 19f31, Mr. Johnson met with CMLR personnel to discuss
adequacy requirements for woody plant density. It was concluded that
50 quadrats per vegetation type would be sufficient for setting the
baseline standard for woody plant density. See Mr. Johnson's memo of
3 September 1981.
