The 2012 map <br />delineates two areas on the outslope of the Refuse Pile as having been seeded in 2005 and <br />2009. For future iterations of the map, please add "Graded and Topsoiled" to the <br />description of the area seeded in 2005. <br />For Ding II, under the "For the Entire Life of Mine" section, the total number of acres <br />disturbed is given as 23.36. Elsewhere on the form, 22.36 acres is listed. Please correct <br />this entry, as warranted, on future ARR forms, and include an explanation of the <br />change. <br />2.04.13(1)(c) Location and number of acres backfilled and graded during that year; <br />For King I, backfilling and grading of -1.09 acres is reported on the form and the map as <br />having been accomplished in 2012. This reflects the coal mine waste that was relocated <br />to the top of the refuse pile. <br />2.04.13(1)(d) Location and number of acres topsoiled during that year; <br />No areas were reported as having been topsoiled during 2011. <br />2.04,13(1)(e) The species, location and number of acres of vegetation planted during that year, <br />including any augmented seeding or cultural practices. Discrete areas planted with <br />specific seedmixes should be Indicated, and seedtags, invoices or other comparable <br />documentation should be included; <br />No areas were reported as having been seeded during 2012. The Division reviewed the <br />ARRs for 2005 and 2009, during which years the current ARR indicates seeding was <br />accomplished. It does not appear that any documentation regarding seedmixes used was <br />provided. Please ensure that the required documentation is submitted for any future <br />revegetation efforts. <br />2.04.13(l)(f) Location, number of acres and date of planting for all previously revegetated <br />areas. <br />The maps submitted clearly identify areas at King I and King II that were seeded in <br />previous years <br />This concludes the Division's review of the 2011 Annual Reclamation Report for the King Coal <br />Mine.
