EXHIBIT H - Wildlife Information <br />Notice was given to the local wildlife conservation officer concerning the proposed 112 gravel <br />pit. We anticipate no significant impacts to local wildlife species or wildlife habitats will occur <br />because of the existence of this pit. <br />Common species which occur in northeast Colorado could include bird species of Cassin's <br />sparrow, chestnut collared longspur, lark bunting, horned lark, mourning doves, western <br />meadowlark, ferruginous and Swainsan's hawks, and pheasants. Small mammals that might be <br />found include cottontail, white - tailed and black - tailed jackrabbit, badger, pronghorn antelope, <br />coyote, swift fox, plains pocket gopher, long- tailed weasel, and several species of mice. <br />Reptiles might include the western rattlesnake, race snake, western box turtle, and six -lined <br />racerunner. Deer common to Phillips County could also be found at the site from time to time. <br />7 <br />
