4. There are two areas on the concrete pavement where ponding occurs. Both areas are in the
eastbound lane on CR 27A approaching from CR 27. Solutions to fix this area should be
provided to Routt County Road and Bridge for approval prior to fixing area.
5. Ponding is also occurring in the ditch on the south side of CR 27A in the area where ponding is
occurring on the pavement.
6. Clean out broken louver pieces in flashing beacon above "Roundabout Ahead" sign on CR 27A
7. First light pole after gravel section of CR 27A meets paved section needs to be plumbed up.
8. Most southern light pole on CR 27 on east side of the road needs to be plumbed up.
9. Fence on northeast side of the roundabout where power line crosses fence needs to be grounded
per specifications.
10. Duckels Construction to provide necessary approvals from Routt County Building department for
electrical work.
11. Material testing reports provided to Routt County Road and Bridge from Duckels Construction
still show two failing compaction tests. Soil shall be reworked until passing test are
accomplished.
12. After a discussion with Ed Brady about quantities, he informed Diane and Mike that while
Duckels was hauling waste to the mine disposal site Peabody was hauling to the same spot. Ed
feels that approximately 2,000 CY of the 8,797 CY is from the excavation performed by Peabdy
Energy to build their office parking lot. Ed claims that they were hauling at the same time
Duckels was and the 8797 CY provided in the survey is not accurate. Please adjust quantity
accordingly.
Again please review and let me know if you have any questions, comments or corrections. This work will
need to be completed as well as the asbuilts supplied before the final pay application can be submitted and
retainage released.
Thanks,
Mike Mordi, P.E.
Assistant Director
Routt County Road and Bridge
