December 17,2013 C-1981-008/New Horizon Mine MPB <br /> Sedimentation Ponds 007,008, 009, and 011 were inspected. All of these ponds with exception of Pond 009 were <br /> retaining water at the time of the inspection. Pond 009 is shown in Photograph No. 2. Pond inlets,embankments <br /> and discharge structures were stable at all pond locations. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) <br /> Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) <br /> Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5)and(6)/4.03.2(5)and(6) <br /> Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> Haul roads and access roads were all snow packed. Due to the icy and snow packed conditions not all areas of the <br /> mine site were accessible. <br /> REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15 <br /> Vegetative Cover;Timing: <br /> Some areas of the mine site with good sun exposure were not snow covered. In one location on the Burbridge <br /> property WFC was in the process of removing Russian olive trees at the landowner's request(see Photograph No. <br /> 3). They were not actively working at the time of this inspection. <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02: <br /> Mine identification signs were properly displayed at mine site entrances. Topsoil markers and permit boundary <br /> markers were in place where required. <br /> The annual AVS inspection was conducted.
