3. On page 4 of the 2012 AHR, it states that "a discharge of less than one ton of salt per day is <br />considered a no -salt discharge by the Department of Health." Please reference the <br />appropriate Department of Health document which supports this statement. <br />4. MINREC, Inc. reports `no discharge' at Outfall 001A since the discharge water did not flow <br />into North Thompson Creek. Regardless of where the flow is directed, water leaving the <br />permitted area through the outfall flume is considered a discharge (Rule 4.05.13(2)(a)(i)). <br />Accordingly, the Division believes that MINREC, Inc. should be recording and analyzing <br />discharges from Outfall 001A in accordance with the approved CDPS permit. <br />If you have any questions, please contact me at (303) 866 -3567 ext. 8142 or <br />brock.bowles @state.co.us. <br />Sincerely, <br />Brock F.
