Loadout
The disturbed area at the loadout has been granted full and final bond release. All of the
structures at the loadout were removed from the site during 1986 and 1987. Some of the
foundations were buried on site. During 1987 the loadout site was contoured and seeded.
Based on a vegetation survey performed during November 1991, a demonstration was
made that untreated drainage from the reclaimed loadout has a ground cover of living
plants adequate to control erosion. Therefore, sedimentation control was no longer
required at the loadout. See the discussion beginning on page 4 -99(b) for more details.
Wells & Explorations Holes
The following table presents the status of the drill holes known to exist at the mine site.
Drill holes at the unit train loadout have been excluded from this table since that area has
been released from the permit.
[Ho—le No.
Location
Status
M -1
No. 1 Mine North of Road
Reclaimed 1987
M -2
No. 3 Mine
Reclaimed 1980
M -3 & M -4
No. 3 Mine
Reclaimed 1987
M -7
Above Refuse Pile
Reclaimed 1994
M -8
No. 1 Mine (Map D -2 -23)
Permanent
M -9
No. 3 Mine (Map D -2 -23)
Permanent
PZ -1 through PZ -3
Inside No. 3 Mine
Unknown
D -1 A & D -2A
Refuse Pond Dam
Sealed - Monitoring Wells
Drill hole M -2 was cemented immediately after drilling.
