November 19, 2013 C-1981-044/Williams Fork Mines JLE <br /> Ponds 9-P3 and 9-P2 were observed. These ponds were not holding water and not discharging. The embanlanents <br /> were stable and vegetated. The spillway was clear and functional. <br /> Ponds 9-P4 was not holding water or discharging. The side slopes appeared stable and vegetated. <br /> Pond SH-P2 and SH-P 1 were not holding water or discharging. The side slopes of the pond were stable and <br /> vegetated. The discharge points were functional. <br /> Pond 9A-P4 was not holding water and was not discharging. The embankment was stable and vegetated. The <br /> spillway was functional. <br /> Pond 9A-P 1 was not holding water and was not discharging. The embankment was stable and vegetated. The <br /> spillway was functional. <br /> Pond 9A-P2 was not holding water and was not discharging. The embankment was stable and vegetated. The <br /> spillway was functional. <br /> Pond 9A-P3 was not holding water and was not discharging. The embankment was stable and vegetated. The <br /> emergency spillway was clear and functional. The primary spillway mechanism has a large shrub growing around <br /> it which may hinder it's functionality. The shrub will need to be removed from the primary spillway mechanism. <br /> The following culverts need to be cleaned out; 63, 9, 28, 34 and 48. <br /> REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15 <br /> Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br /> The Utah track was inaccessible at the time of the inspection. <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS —Rule 4.02: <br /> The boundary markers were observed throughout the site. No problems were noted. <br /> The mine entrance signs contain an error. The DRMS permit number is listed on the sign as C-081-044. The <br /> permit number should read, C-1981-044. These signs will need to be updated with the correct DRMS permit <br /> number listed on the sign. <br /> TOPSOIL—Rule 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br /> Many topsoil stockpiles are located throughout the site. These piles were observed.
