Please provide a flow diagram which illustrates the pathway through the various mill <br />circuits. In addition, specify the dimensions of all pipes and conveyances and specify the <br />type of pipes to be used, e.g. HDPE or double- lined. <br />Response: <br />A flow diagram, providing a material balance as well as piping detail is provided in <br />Attachment 1. This diagram will be included in the mill permit as Figure 4 -11. <br />7. The Applicant has stated ore will be placed into bunkers prior to feeding the crushing <br />circuit. Please provide the Division with a detail drawing and specification of concrete <br />thickness and reinforcing in order to evaluate the bunker both as an environmental <br />protection facility and for the cost of demolition. In addition, specify the total volume of <br />ore the bunkers can store and the location of the bunkers; the bunkers must be <br />illustrated on Figure 6 -2. Please note that the bunkers must be designed to not come <br />into contact with stormwater during a 100 year, 24 -hour rainfall event. <br />Response: <br />As part of the Conditional Use Permit process with Lake County, UMC presented a <br />conceptual plan depicting possible future operations. The conceptual plan included <br />construction of a new crushing building and facilities, truck scale and storage bunkers. <br />These planned improvements should not have been included in section 6.3.3 Exhibit C <br />and will be removed and Figure 6 -2 will be revised accordingly. A Technical Revision <br />will be submitted when UMC is ready to move forward with these planned <br />improvements. Figure 6 -2 is included in this document as Attachment 2. <br />8. The Applicant has stated that thickened underflow from the tailings thickener will be sent <br />to the TSF in an accessible pipe in a concrete trough. Please illustrate the trough and <br />pipe on Figure 6 -2 and provide the Division with a detail drawing of the conveyance. <br />Response: <br />The location of the trough and pipe has been added to Figure 6 -2 (Attachment 2) and a <br />detailed drawing of the conveyance is provided as Attachment 3 to this document. The <br />drawing will be included in the mill permit as Figure 4 -12. <br />
