For the most part, the drainage channels will be avoided such as the one to the immediate West of the current
affected area. Should there be the likelihood of storm water discharge, berms will be built between the mining
area and the existing drainage sufficient to contain storm water in the mining area until it can percolate into the
ground (also much the same as the one to the West).
Exhibit F - Reclamation Plan Map
17. As required by Rule 6.4.6(a), please revise the Reclamation Plan Map to include contour lines of sufficient
detail to portray the direction and rate of slope of all reclaimed lands. Also, include the appropriate contour
interval on the revised map.
Please see revised map.
18. The Reclamation Plan Map states that all ridges will be graded to 3H:IV. However, the Reclamation Plan
states that final grades will be 4H: 1 V or flatter. Please clarify this discrepancy and revise the Reclamation Plan
Map as necessary.
This is a typographical error. 414:1 V is the intended value. The reclamation map will be changed to reflect this
value when I change the map to include the Kyle Railroad and other items.
19. As required by Rule 6.2.1(2)(e), please revise the Reclamation Plan Map to include a map scale. The
acceptable range of map scales shall not be larger than 1 inch = 50 feet, nor smaller than 1 inch = 660 feet.
Plcuse see revised mi ip.
6.4.7 Exhibit G - Water Information
20. Exhibit G states that a Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) was enclosed with the application. Is the
SWMP a separate document or is this information contained within the Mining Plan?
The original SWMP is referred to in the original application, but was not in the file. I did not catch that I had in
fact not sent one with the 112 app. I have written a new SWMP that I have included, and hope you find
acceptable.
6.4.8 Exhibit H - Wildlife Information
21. As required by Rule 6.4.8(1)(d), please provide a description of the general effect during and after the
proposed operation on the existing wildlife of the area, including but not limited to temporary and permanent
loss of food and habitat, interference with migratory routes, and the general effect on the wildlife from
increased human activity, including noise.
Please retCr to document sent in by Warren Cummings (Colorado Department of Wildlife).
6.4.9 Exhibit I - Soils Information
No comment.
6.4. 10 Exhibit J - Vegetation Information
No comment.
6.4.11 Exhibit K - Climate
