Hoffman Pit Response
RE: Hoffman Pit; DRMS File No. M -2005 -044; Adequacy Review No.1 (CNO1)
Application
1. On page 4, No. 16 of the Application Form, the Applicant has stated that 17.58 acres will be added to the
existing site. However, the first page of the Application indicates that 24.2 acres will be added to the existing
9.9 acre permit area. Please clarify this discrepancy.
The new boundaries were changed at the Road Foreman's request aver the application was being drafted. 1 did
not catch that I had neglected to update that information. The 24.2 acres is the correct value. Please see revised
page 4.
6.4.1 Exhibit A - Legal Description
No comment.
6.4.2 Exhibit B - Index Map
No comment.
6.4.3 Exhibit C - Pre - mining and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected Lands
2. Also,
include the appropriate contour interval on the revised map.
As per our conversation, I don't have access to this level of mapping for the Hoffman Pit area. On the revised
map, I have indicated the current slopes of the walls. (During your last inspection, the South wall was pretty
much sheer. The R &B foreman has advised me that they have been grading it to a 214:1 V slope.
4.
