PERMIT #: M- 2005 -080
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: MAC
INSPECTION DATE: October 23, 2013
Topsoil:
Topsoil has been salvaged and stockpiled along the perimeter of the mine phases. The topsoil stockpiles are
vegetated and did not show any signs of erosion.
Financial Warranty:
The Division currently holds a financial warranty in the amount of $48,945.00. The financial warranty amount
is based on a maximum allowed disturbance of 15.8 acres and includes a cost for demolition of the concrete
batch plant facility. The Division and the Operator discussed the potential for allowing the batch plant building
to remain following the reclamation of the Allen Pit. In order to have the batch plant building remain, the
Operator would need to file a Technical Revision to the Reclamation Plan. The submittal would need to include
documentation from Park County which demonstrates that the building could remain following reclamation
and would be in accordance with all local zoning ordinances. Approval of above described Technical Revision
would result in a financial warranty decrease.
The Division recalculated the financial warranty estimate and determined that the existing financial warranty
amount of $48,945.00 remains adequate to complete reclamation at the site.
This concluded the inspection.
