(5) Surface Mining Near Underground Mining.. For surface mining activities within the proposed permit <br />area to be conducted within 500 feet of an underground mine, the application shall describe the measures to be used <br />to comply with 4.19. <br />RESPONSE <br />Mining within the proposed permit area will be underground mining. No surface mining activities are proposed <br />within 500 feet of the underground mine. <br />Q�7 V (6) Subsidence Survey, Subsidence Monitoring, and Subsidence Control Plan <br />(a) For underground mining activities the application shall include an inventory of all <br />structures and renewable resource lands which exist within the proposed permit and adiacent area. <br />0) If no such structures or renewable resource lands exist, no further information need <br />be provided in the application under this Section. <br />(ii) If such structures or renewable resource lands exist, then the application shall <br />include: <br />(A) A brief description of all structures and renewable resource lands which <br />exist within the roposed permit and adiacent area, and <br />(B) An appropriate map, prepared according to Section 2.10, showing the <br />location and configuration of structures and renewable resource lands within the permit and adjacent area. <br />7 <br />(b) If structures and renewable resource lands are determined to exist within the proposed <br />pen-nit and adjacent area, the application shall include a description of the worst possible consequences which <br />Subsidence, if it occurred could have for such structures and renewable resource lands. <br />G) The application shall include a determination of whether subsidence, if it occurred. <br />could cause material damage or diminution of reasonably foreseeable use of such structures and renewable resource <br />lands. This description of worst possible subsidence consequence shall include: <br />(A) A brief description of pre- and post - mining land uses of the permit and <br />adiacent area as described pursuant to Sections 2.04.3 and 2.05.5. <br />(B) A brief description of subsidence related phenomena predicted to occur <br />within the permit and adiacent area: and <br />(C) A brief description of material subsidence damage or diminution of <br />reasonably foreseeable use of structures and renewable resource lands which could result from the occurrence of <br />the subsidence related phenomena described in accordance with Section 2.05.6(b)(i)(B), including consideration of <br />the definitions and considerations contained in Section 2.05.6(6)(e)(ii)(A), (B), and (C). <br />RESPONSE <br />Western Mining District <br />Background <br />Mining was begun at TCC's Foidel Creek Mine in 1983. The mining which occurred for the period of 1983 until <br />1989 was strictly room and pillar. The only pillared area is the I' Panel South.
