Dear Mr. Hays,
J &T Consulting, Inc. and Loloff Construction, Inc. have reviewed the second adequacy review
comments. The following are our responses to each of the numbered comments you provided in
your September 10, 2013 and September 13, 2013 review letters that required additional
information prior to providing a more detailed response:
Rule 6.4.4 Exhibit D - Minina Plan
2. The response for future slopes to be mined at 3HAV is adequate. The Operator
must provide survey data for the mined slopes in the northwest corner, west
side and southwest corner and explain how the existing slopes will be
backfilled or otherwise established and stabilized at a 3HAV slope if required.
Response:
The pit slopes will be mined at a 3H:1 V at all locations for the proposed mining.
Based on the survey, the mined slopes adjacent to the south and west sides, and the
southwest corner of the pit are currently mined at slopes ranging from 3.5H:1 V to
5.5H:1 V and meet this requirement. The interior mining faces are currently at
approximately 2H:1 V slopes. These faces will be laid back to 3H :1 V minimum slopes
within the pit, with this slope remaining as the mining progresses outward to the limit
of mining.
3. An updated Exhibit C following the survey as required.
Response:
Survey of the surrounding structures and utilities has been completed and an
updated Exhibit C is attached.
Rule 6.4.7 Exhibit G - Water Information
11. The Operator must provide calculations on the capacity of the ditch following
completion of the survey.
Response:
The ditch was surveyed and calculations on the capacity of the ditch are attached.
