he may not farm all of it. This area would be reseeded with the recommended mix
prescribed by the NRCS (which I have included). I will not be able to predict the
precise acreage that will be converted to farming and what will be turned to
rangeland (if any) until the pit is in the process of reclamation, and what Mr. Collie
wants to do with it.
6.3.5 Exhibit E — Map
8. The Mining Plan Map and the Reclamation Plan Map did not include a map
scale. Please submit revised copies of both maps and include a map scale. The
acceptable range of map scales shall not be larger than 1 inch = 50 feet nor smaller
than 1 inch = 660 feet.
SEE REVISED MAPS
9. As required by Rule 6.3 .5(2)(b) , please include the names of the owners of
record of the surface of the affected area and identify the owner of the substance to
be mined on the Mining Plan Map.
SEE REVISED MAPS
10. The Mining Plan Map depicts a small offset between the southwest permit
boundary and Hackberry Creek. However, the Reclamation Plan Map depicts the
southwest permit boundary as being located on the east bank of Hackberry Creek.
Please clarify this discrepancy and revise the maps as necessary.
The maps are constructed from Google maps using coordinates determined by sub
meter GIS handheld device. On an aerial map they accurately depict the locations
because the aerial maps are real life backgrounds. Topographical maps are NOT
real life, they are merely interpretations of reality, so when I overlay exact real
world coordinates on them, they are inherently wrong. (We experienced this
problem trying to overlay my real world maps on our Assessor's CAD map ... with
laughable results). Also please keep in mind the scale. Should the dot representing
the corner marker actually be traced on the ground, it would be 35' in diameter.
Nonetheless, I have "Photo- shopped" the map. Hopefully you'll find the new
version adequate.
6.3.6 Exhibit F — List of Other Permits and Licenses Required
No comment.
6.3.7 Exhibit G — Source of Legal Right -to -Enter
