RULE 2 PERMITS <br />• The distribution and extent of map units in the survey areas are presented on Map SC. The maps were <br />compiled on a topographic map base at a scale of 1"=500'. The soils maps contain a map unit legend and <br />all map unit delineation lines. Twenty soil description/sample sites are also located on the maps. The soil <br />delineations have been digitized into the electronic file for map display and acreage determination by map <br />unit. <br />A summary of various map unit descriptive information is presented in Table 2.04.9-9 and Table 2.04.9- <br />10. The information for each map unit includes: <br />• Map unit symbols <br />• Map unit names <br />• Slope ranges <br />• Acreage and percent of total <br />• Brief soil profile description of each soil type <br />• Terrain and vegetation <br />• Parent material type <br />• Land Capability Class <br />• Range/Woodland Site <br />A summary of various soils interpretative information is presented in Table 2.04.9-11. The information <br />for each soil series includes: <br />• Soil series name and map unit symbol <br />• Texture of the soil control section <br />• Soil depth class <br />• Effective rooting depth <br />• Internal drainage class <br />• Permeability class <br />• Available water holding capacity <br />• Rate of surface runoff <br />• Typical reaction class <br />• Wind erodibility group <br />• Water erosion hazard <br />• "K" factor <br />• Hydrologic group <br />• Understory production (Ibs/ac/yr) <br />• Organic matter percent of "A" horizon <br />• Thickness of "A" horizon <br />A listing of NRCS soil taxonomic information is presented in Table 2.04.9-12.
