Statement of significance: 5RT3256 has cultural material exposed in the two-track ruts as well as along most of the <br />sites perimeter. The central portion of the site contains 20+cm of soil deposition and also there appears to be some <br />active soil accumulation along the western side of the site. There is potential that these areas could contain intact <br />cultural material and possible features. <br />32. Recorder's Management Recommendations: MAC recommends this site as "needs data" pending shovel testing <br />to determine the presence or absence of buried cultural material. Continued use of the existing two track that passes <br />through the northern portion of the site will not cause additional damage to the sites cultural significance. If the site <br />contains buried cultural materials, it may have the potential to retain physical integrity and association, and to provide <br />important information regarding chronology, subsistence, and settlement patterns in the area (Criterion D). <br />VI.
