The Division has completed its preliminary review of the above referenced report received on 14 March
2013. The Division finds the 2012 Annual Hydrology Report (AHR) in general compliance with the
requirements of DRMS Regulation 4.05 and with the requirements of the plan for protecting hydrologic
resources in your permit (C -82 -056).
Please give further attention to the following items. Unless noted otherwise (bold type), the issues are
minor and should be addressed in next year's AHR (no response required for the 2012 AHR).
Missing or questionable information
• The list of tables is incomplete. Page 2 (Tables 18 — 35) is missing from the list in the submittal.
• Table 22 is missing from the 2012 AHR. Please provide table.
• Flow data was not collected for Sites 27A, 1003, and 305 due to problems with gages. This
problem needs to be addressed.
• No temperature data is reported for Site 1003. Please explain why.
• Hardness as CaCO3 should be provided. This can be calculated from concentrations of calcium
and magnesium.
Monitoring sites
• The surface water monitoring sites in the Permit Application Package (PAP) shown in Table A
of Exhibit 14 do not exactly match Table 32 in the 2012 AHR. Please explain this discrepancy,
and, if necessary, submit a Minor Revision to fix this problem. For example:
• Sites 1002, MC -1, and 700 are included in the PAP but not in Table 32 of the AHR.
• Sites SW -13, SW -14, and SW -15 appear to be in the incorrect location (October —
February) in Table A.
• Regarding Wells AVF -15 and Jones, the well list and monitoring schedule (in PAP and AHRs)
need to be updated.
• On the map of monitoring locations (Figure 2 in AHR) Well 009 -79 -4 is apparently labeled
incorrectly as "099- 79 -4."
• Well 001 -S -5 is labeled incorrectly on the map. It should bean orange dot per the legend.
