Inc. <br />Reporting Period: 09.01.13 thru 09.07.13 <br />Days <br />S <br />M <br />T <br />W <br />T <br />F <br />S <br />Work Shifts <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />-- <br />N <br />N <br />N <br />N <br />N <br />D = Da Shift N = N' ht Shift <br />w = Weather Day <br />Ambient Temperature Ranges for reporting period: Weather conditions for reporting period: <br />Low: 48 °F — 52°F Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy / Cloudy <br />High: 78 °F — 79°F Precipitation: few isolated showers P.M. <br />Wind: Calm to Gusts at times <br />Ames: Due to Holiday observance, construction activities were paused on 9.01.13 <br />Planning: Continuing Construction activities and scheduling for VLF and HWY 67. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />I) Earthworks <br />A) VLF (Phase 1) <br />Topsoil I Overburden Stripping: During this reporting period, topsoil / overburden materials were observed being <br />stripped and stockpiled near the midway area, Phase 11 channel and upper perimeter road then hauled to the area <br />#34 stockpile. <br />Topsoil was stripped from the Highway 67 realignment area near station 1029+00 and stockpiled below the sliver fill <br />area at the highway. <br />Production drilling was performed during this reporting period near design bench "E" from approximate Stations <br />E9 +00 thrl El 1 +00 and at the Phase II detention Pond. Production drilling is expected to continue. <br />Four production blasts' occurred during this reporting period within planned VLF limits. <br />Structural Fill: The contractor continued fill operations and compaction by method specification for the ADR haul <br />road and the PSSA toe berm. <br />Structural fill materials were hauled from cut near ADR haul road Sta. 36+00 — 40 +00 then placed and compacted at <br />approximate ADR haul road Sta. 21 +00 — 29+00 and Sta. 46 +00 — 52+00. A Cat D8T was used to spread the loose <br />lifts and compaction was achieved utilizing a Cat 563 smooth drum roller. <br />777 and 740 haul trucks hauled structural fill materials to the PSSA toe Berm from the Upper Cut and Raven Hill <br />areas. A Cat D1 OT and D6N were utilized to spread the materials placed. Compaction was achieved utilizing a Cat <br />CS56B Smooth Drum roller.
