Box 165 Director <br />Canon City, CO 81215 <br />Re: Sharp Gravel Pit, DRMS Permit No. M- 2012 -036 <br />Surety Reduction SR -01 <br />Approval <br />Dear Ms. Gonzales: <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) received a surety reduction request on July 29, <br />2013 and called it complete on August 28, 2013. The operator requested a release of $92,090.00. On <br />September 19, 2013 the Division approved the request for a Financial Warranty Reduction and set the new <br />minimum required financial warranty at $60,000.00. The Division estimated the reclamation liability to be <br />$60,000.00 (please see the attached estimate). This is a reduction of $73,000.00. This decision reduces the <br />required amount of the financial warranty, and does not approve any release of reclamation responsibility. <br />Please contact Barbara Coria in the Division's Denver office regarding questions on forms, submittals, and <br />other questions regarding the financial warranties.
