Susan Burgmaier -5- September 16, 2013
consistent for all of the sections. Please revise the label for the green line to read, "Permitted
Top of Pile (TR -76)" so that it is clear no changes are being proposed to this section with TR-
81.
BOW2: The green line was revised to show the permitted TR -76 configuration. See Figure 1.
Where necessary, colors of lines in other sections were revised for consistency.
20. DRMS: On Volume IX Figure 1 Section F -P; please revise the label for the purple line to
read, "Permitted Cut Slope (TR -76)" so that it is clear this slope is not being revised with TR-
81.
BOW2: The cut slope will change with this revision. TR -76 approved a 2H:1V cut slope based
on the topography we had when that revision was submitted and approved (aerial topography
from 2012). Part of this revision incorporates an on- the - ground survey and the contours, both
design and existing ground were updated to reflect the minor changes based on the
differences between the two surveys. The geotechnical analysis incorporates the 1.5H:1V cut
slope in the analysis performed on July 29, 2013.
21. DRMS: In the Legend for Volume IX Figure 1, there is a solid black circle symbol referring to
Lambert sample locations. The circle does not appear on the map, and is no longer needed.
Please delete the sample location symbol from the legend. Please add a symbol for the
piezometers.
BOW2: The legend has been updated on Figure 1.
22. Page 2.05 -32 has been revised to incorporate a change in haul road width for the haul road
to gob pile #3.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Tamme Bishop, P.E.
Project Engineer
Enclosures:
Volume I: Page 2.05 -32
Volume IX: Pages 4, 10, 17 & 18, Appendix B pages App. B -2 to B -64, Figures 1, 3,
CC: Marcia Talvitie, DRMS - Durango
Bill Bear, Bowie Resources, LLC (electronically)
Paonia Public Library
Bureau of Land Management (electronically)
US Forest Service (electronically)
