Numerous recharge wells and augmentation wells and pumps are decreed, and some of these
operated as part of the plan, as summarized in Table 4.
Table 4
Logan Well Users Augmentation Plan System Augmentation Well/
Recharge Well Water Rights
11ID
W U Su 1
e se Amount Admin. No. A .Date
Various Au mentation
i
V
Various Recharge ar
ous
Augmentation Plan Operations
Operating rules to replace river depletions from well pumping include the following in order of
use:
1. Well depletions (stored under plan IDs 6402539_1 and 6402539_2) should be replaced year-
round by natural flows when in priority, i.e., when no downstream call or when downstream
call is junior to common priority date used to simplify administration of the plan -March 15,
1974 (admin. no. 45364.0).
2. Well depletions (stored under plan IDs 6402539_1 and 6402539_2) should be replaced year-
round with available recharge accretions from canal seepage and recharge seepage as
follows:
• 6402539_P1C1 accretions and 6402539_P1R1 accretions replace 6402539_1 depletions
• 6402539_P1C2 accretions and 6402539_P1R2 accretions replace 6402539_2 depletions
• 6402539_P1C1 accretions and 6402539_P1R1 accretions replace 6402539_2 depletions
The next operation would be simulated via exchange:
• 6402539_P1C2 accretion and 6402539_P1R2 accretions replace 6402539_1 depletions
3. Well depletions (stored under plan IDs 6402539_1 and 6402539_2) should be replaced year-
round with releases of Logan-Prewitt water (part of Logan Irrigation District's 54.8 percent
ownership of Prewitt Reservoir - ID 6403552). Replacement releases from Prewitt Reservoir
should be assigned a 50 percent consumptive use credit available for replacement of lagged
well depletions.
4. Remaining summer well depletions (stored under plan IDs 6402539_1 and 6402539_2)
should be replaced with a bypass of a portion of the direct flow water rights changed in the
Logan Well Users augmentation plan. Operations of bypasses require maintenance of
historical return flows, which should be added to the well depletion plan structures (IDs
6402539_1 and 6402539_2).
• South Platte Ditch (ID 6400535) - 321.2 shares of 831.5 total shares (38.6 percent).
• Farmers Pawnee Ditch (ID 6400533) - 180.6 shares of 500.0 total shares (36.1 percent).
• Schneider Ditch (ID 6400531) - 34.0 shares of 125.0 total shares (27.2 percent).
• Springdale Ditch (ID 6400530) - 159.5 shares of 206.9 total shares (77.1 percent).
A-23 of A-106
