EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S MONTHLY REPORT TO THE COLORADO RIVER BOARD OF CALIFORNIA AUl!:ust 14.2001 ADMINISTRATION Board Retreat The Board's third annual retreat remains on schedule for October 10-11, 200 I at the Lake Arrowhead Resort.. The deadline for reservations remains Sentember 6. 2001. As of Monday, August 13th only 10 reservations have been confirmed out of a possible 19 attendees. Included in the handout material is a list of those people who have indicated a desire to attend the retreat but have not confinned their reservation. In anticipation of in depth discussions on the following topics, arrangements have been made for the retreat to extend past the noon hour on Thursday, October 11,2001, and conclude around 4:30 p.m. Listed below is the proposed agenda: 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.,Wednesday, October 10,2001 . Lower Colorado River Multi-Species Conservation Program . Issue of fully Protected Species . Colorado River Delta-Mexico 8:30 a.m,-11:30 a.m., Thursday, October 11,2001 . Status of California's Colorado River Water Use Plan - QSNSIA and associated enviromnental compliance - Salton Sea Legislation and restoration program 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m., Thursday, October 11,2001 . Update on Colorado River Basin States' Consumptive Use Estimates and its effect on LCR operations . Yuma Desalting Plant issues and the "interim period" Board Meeting Schedule As you are all aware, the Minute 306 Symposium in Mexicali, scheduled for September 11-12, 2001, will conflict with the Board's September meeting date of September 12th. Since Wednesday. September 19'h is not a possibility due to the Colorado River Symposium, sponsored by the Water Education Foundation, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, I propose that the Board cancel its September meeting.
