State of Arizona, having its office and principal place of business <br />at Phoenix, in the State of Arizona, being desirous of obtaining a <br />license unaer tlw FedFll'al"Pll\'l9l' .lot, hereby makes application to the <br />1l'ederal Power Commission for a preliminary pennit for 24 months, far <br />tlw projeC't described herein~ This application is made in order that <br />the applicant may secure and maintain priority for a license under <br />the Federal Power Act mile procuring data and performing the acts <br />necessary to perfect an application for such license. <br /> <br />2. The name, title IUld postoffice address of the person to whom <br />correspondence in regard to this application snall be addressed is <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Colorado River Commission of Arizona, <br />606 Ellis Building, Phoenix, Arizona. <br /> <br />3. The applicant is a State IUld applies for the permit through the State <br />Land Commissioner under the following law: <br /> <br /> <br />REVISED CODE OF ARIZONA 1928 <br /> <br />Sec. #3009. WATER APPROPRIATION. The Commissioner <br />shall make and file ws.ter locations and appropriations, <br />and reservoir sites, dam sites and power sites, <br />wherever such location and filing may be deemed <br />advisable for the irrigation of any state llUlds, and <br />for and on behalf of the state acquire the title to <br />such water appropriation. reservoir, dam, power or <br />other sites and rights of way, as may be necessary <br />or advisable for the reclamation and irrigation of <br />state lands. Such locations and filings shall be <br />in the name of the state and the prooedure shall <br />conform to that provided for the acquisition of such <br />rights by private citizens. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />The measure of' control or ownership exercised by or aver the applicant <br />in any other organization, is as follows: <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />The applicant proposes to operate in the following area, <br /> <br />The State of Arizona. <br /> <br /> <br />6.
