<br />FPR 98-469 <br />Town of Ault <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centeunial Building <br />1313 Shemlan Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />September 21, 1998 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />PREVIOUSLY DESIGNATED FLOODPLAIN STUDIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there have been no previously designated floodplain studies for Special Flood <br />Hazard Areas within the Town of Ault; and <br /> <br />STUDY TO BE DESIGNATED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Federal Insurance <br />Administration, completed a floodplain information map entitled "Flood Hazard Boundary Map, <br />Town of Ault, Colorado (Weld County)" dated May 17, 1974; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said map includes approximate floodplain delineations for specific geographic <br />areas within incorporated portions of the Ault, as they were on May 17, 1974; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Ault was converted to the regular program of the National Flood <br />Insurance Program (NFIP) by the Federal Emergency Management Agency on June 10, 1980 by <br />letter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) determined that there <br />were no Special Flood Hazard Areas (NSFHA) within the Town of Ault at the time of the <br />community's conversion to the regular program of the NFIP on June 10, 1980, and that this action <br />by FEMA essentially rescinded said floodplain map dated May 17, 1974; and <br /> <br />c.R.S AUTHORITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along <br />
