SUBJECT: Amendments to the Crook Flood Control Levee Plans
and Specifications, Phase I, MEC Project No. 8708 for
the South Platte Levee Project

As you are aware, a portion of the levee system was

constructed in 1988. A phase II for the project will be bid in

the Spr'ing, 1990. The phase II bid documents will consist of

bid schedules I and II. Schedule I will be prepared by ARIX

and include all the drawings and specifications for the

construction of the Crook drainage ditch. Schedule II will

include the placement of the excavated drainage ditch materials

in the levee system between stations 82 + 00 to 147 + 15. The

Mu11er Engineering Company has prepared the construction

drawings and specifications for schedule II. These drawings

and specifications need to be amended to show the 1988

construction between stations 82 + 00 to station 122 + 50. In

addition, between station 82 + 00 to station 117 + 50 a survey

error exists for the natural ground line which is the base

elevation for the levee sections. These levee sections are

shown on sheet 13 of 15 of the Muller plans. I request that

you direct or prepare the following plan modifications for
