(Acceptance of Flood Hazard Area Delineation
of Green Mountain Area)

WHEREAS, the Board has previously authorized the EXecutive Director to

execute an agreement with a consulting engineer for the cOmpletion of a Flood

Hazard Area Delineation Report for Green Mountain (Resolution No.3, Series of

1977); and

WHEREAS, the Executive Director has executed"a contract with Hydro-Triad,

Ltd. for a Flood Hazard Area Delineation Study of the Green Mountain Area; and

WHEREAS, the Board has previously indicated its desire that the results

of such studies be provided to the local governments so as to assist local

governments in meeting the requirements of HB 1041;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT,

1. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control

District accept the report (Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Green

Mountain, April. 1978) and recommend its use as a guide in future

planning related to these major drainageways;
2. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage a~d Flood Control

Dis tri ct recOmmend that Lakewood I Jefferson COlmty. and Gol den

adopt the report and regulate the lOO-year flo~d plain defined in
the report; and
3. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage a~d Flood Control

District submit the report for designation and approval by the

Colorado Water Conservation Board as stated in Section 37-6D-106(1)(c),

Colorado Revised Statutes. 1973. as f'ood,haza~d areas, those areas
