NO. 107 <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />July 11, 1978 <br />R E ~ 0 L U T ~ 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Green Mountain Area," dated April, 1978, <br />has been prepared by Hydro-Triad,Ltd., at the request of the Urban <br />Drainage and FlOOd Control District, the city of Lakewood, the <br />County of Jefferson, and the city of Golden; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and FlOOd Control District <br />has requested the ColoradO Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the coloradO Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-38-111, ColoradO Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation <br />and approval by the ColoradO Water conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of lOcal jurisdic- <br />tions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recorr~end to the ColoradO Water COllservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as <br />described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said <br />report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 11th day of July, 1978, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated <br />by a 100-year flood as set forth in said report; and <br />
