FPR 97-452 City of Fort Morgan COLORADO WATER CONSERV A nON BOARD 721 State Centennial Building 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 May 12, 1997 RESOLUTION PREVIOUS FLOODPLAIN STUDIES WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers, Omllha District, completed a floodplain information report entitled "Special Flood Hazard Information Report, South Platte River, Volume II, Morgan County - Washington County, Colorado" dated M<lY 1977; and WHEREAS, said report included approxilnate floodplain information for the South Platte River within Morgan and Washington Counties; arid WHEREAS, the approximate information i:ontained in said report dated May 1977 includes various floodplain data for the South Platte River including 100-year flood hydrology, flood profiles, and elevation-discharge curves which are based on accepted engineering methods and practices for approximate floodplain studies; and WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, by Resolution No. 392, designated and approved the approximate floodplain information included in said report; and WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain information map entitled "Flood Insurance Rate Map, City of Fort Morgan, Colorado, Morgan County," dated February 5,1986; and WHEREAS, said map includes approximate floodplain delineations for the South Platte River, but does not include hydrology informatioIl for those approximate delineations, within the incorporated portions of Fort Morgan, as they were on February 5, 1986; and NEW STUDY TO BE DESIGNATED WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Floodplain Information Report, City of Fort Morgan, Colorado" dated April 1997 has been prepared by the Colorado Water Conservation Board, which includes, by reference, said map dated February 5, 1986; and
