<br />WHEREAS, said new report provides hydrology information, which is based on the <br />published hydrology values for the South Platte River contained in the May 1977 Special Flood <br />Hazard Information Report (Resolution No, 392), for the approximate floodplain delineations <br />contained in said map dated February 5, 1986; and <br /> <br />FLOODPLAIN CONSISTENCY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Zone A floodplain area located just south of Interstate Highway 76 along <br />Sherman Street within the City of Fort Morgan appears to be inaccurate as shown on said Flood <br />Insurance Rate Map dated February 5, 1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the extents of the Zone A floodplain for the South Platte River are only shown <br />within the Fort Morgan corporate limits as depicted on said Flood Insurance Rate Map dated <br />February 5, 1986, but the extents of the Zone A floodplain are not shown for areas outside of the <br />Fort Morgan corporate limits as they were on February 5, 1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a revised floodplain map for Fort Morgan has been included within said new <br />report dated April 1997 in order to reflect said mapping inaccuracies and also to reflect Zone A <br />floodplain areas outside of the Fort Morgan corporate limits as they were on February 5, 1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the approximate floodplain information contained in said new report with <br />included mapping within the City of Fort Morgan corporate limits, as they were on February 5, <br />1986, is consistent with the approximate information contained in the May 1977 Special Flood <br />Hazard Information Report for the South Platte River (Resolution No. 392), except for said <br />inaccurate Zone A floodplain area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the corporate limits for the City of Fort Morgan, as shown on said Flood <br />Insurance Rate Map dated February 5, 1986 and in said new report with included mapping, are not <br />accurately depicted due to annexations and changes to the corporate limits since February 5, 1986; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Fort Morgan corporate limits are also not accurately depicted in the <br />"Flood Insurance Study, Morgan County, Colorado, Unincorporated Areas," dated September 29, <br />1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the approximate floodplain information contained in said new report with <br />included mapping is reasonably consistent with the approximate information contained in the <br />"Flood Insurance Study, Morgan County, Colorado, Unincorporated Areas," dated September 29, <br />1989, with the exception of said inaccurate corporate limits; and <br /> <br />2 <br />
