WHEREAS, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque
District, at the request of the Colorado Water Conservation
Board, the Board of County Commissioners of El Paso County, and
the' City of Fountain, completed in March, 1973, "Floodplain
Information, Fountain and Jimmy Camp Creeks , Fountain, El Paso
County, Colorado"; and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested
by the City of Fountain by Resolution No. 30, adopted ,March 20,
1974, approved and designated tJ1e floodplains described in said
report; and

WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Insurance, Study, City
of Fountain, El Paso County, Colorado," which includes floodplain
information and data for Fountain Creek, Jimmy Camp Creek,
Security Creek, and Widefield Creek, dated January 3, 1985, has
been prepared by camp Dresser & McKee, Inc., under contract with
the Federal Emergency Management Agency; and

WHEREAS, said new report describes and
floodplain data and information for the storm
runoff channels or basins of the study area; and

WHEREAS, the City of Golaen has requested the Colorado
Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain
as set forth in the aforesaid new report; and
