WHEREAS, Section 37-60-10~(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes,
directs the Colo:r:ado Water COnservation Board to designate and
approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make
such designations available to legislative bodies of local
jurisdictions; and

WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said revised
information and data and does hereby reconunend to the Colorado
Water Cono:;ervation Board that the Board designate and approve as
floodplain areas those areas inundated by a lOa-year flood
(intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater
surface elevations and profil,.s in said new report, and further
reconunendo:; that the floodwater surface elevations and profiles
for Fountain Creek and Jinuny Camp Creek, within the corporate
limits of the City of Fount<'dn, El Paso County, Colorado, as
approved by Resolution No. 3Cl, adopted March 30, 1974, not be
rescinded: and

WHEREAS, the staff of t1<eBoard finds that the hydrologic
and hydraUlic data in the rep~rts dated March, 1974; and January
3, 1985, to be identical, and the community may Use any of, them
for the administration of its floodplain management programs;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser-
vation BOard in regular meet:ing assembled in Denver, Colorado,
this 3rd day of May, 1985, 'that it does hereby designate and
approve ,as floodplain areas those areas described as being
inundated by a lOa-year floOd as 'described by the floodwater
surface elevations and profiles' in said new report, dated
January 3, 1985; and

BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED that the Secretary ot the Board is
directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the City
of Fountain, the Board of COUnty conunissioners of El Paso County:
and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
