This authorization <br />provides funding to the Colorado Water Conservation Board in the amount of one hundred fifty <br />thousand dollars ($150,000) for flood response purposes, The legislation defines flood response <br />purposes;to include, but not be limited to: <br />· Aerial Photography of Flooded Areas <br />· Flood Documentation and Identification of Specific hazards <br />· Evaluations and Revisions of Floodplain Designations <br />· Flood Forecasting and Preparation <br />· Development of Disaster and Recovery Mitigation Plans <br /> <br />Discussion <br />At the CWCB November 20-21, 2000 meeting, staff provided the Board with a Proposed Flood <br />Response Program, The Program has five elements, which are essentially the same ones <br />authorized by Section 37-60-123,2, .In the staffs presentation, proposed actions for each <br />program element were outlined, These proposed actions were formulated through past <br />experiences that staff has witnessed during minor and major flood events. <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
