Sherman, Executive Director, Colorado Department of Natural Resources at 10:00 a.m. LaPlata County Extension Building, Durango, Colorado. The proceedings were recorded by electronic recording equipment and are available for review or transcription upon request. The Director was assisted at the hearing by the following members of the Weather Modification Advisory Committee: Dr. Hugo Ferchau Dr. Archie Kahan Dr. Guy Mock Mr. Delmar Nelson Mr. Charles Steele Mr. Bob Taylor Western Weath~r Consultants, herein referred to as the Applicant, was represented by Mr. Frank S. Maynes, Attorney at Law, Durango, Colorado, at the request of the Applicant. The Applicant called the fo+lowing witnesses: Lawrence M. Hjermstad, Durango Harold Steinhof, Durango Testimony was offered by persons in attendance of said hearing on both sides of the appl.ication., FINDINGS OF FACT 1. The Findings of Fact were predicated upon the careful review and considera- tion of the following: a. The original Application for Permit for Weather Modification Activities, Form WM2, dated August29, 1978 with.an attached map. b. A tape recording of the hearing conducted in Durango on October 6, 1978. c. Comments, written and oral, from citizens expressing an interest in this Application. Advice, comments, and recommendations of the Weather Modification Advisory Committee tendered to the Executive Director on October '6, 1978 as well as comments subsequent to that date. d. e. Weather Modification Act of 1972, Article 20, Title 36, C.R.S. 1973.
