Introduction
This memorandum represents delivery associated with Task 6.8, Prepare Reservoir Files /
Memoranda. The objective ofthis task is as follows:
Develop and operate a command file for the DMI watright that generates the reservoir
station and reservoir right files for the Rio Grande model. Develop and operate a
command file for the DMI tstool that generates historic end-of-month content file and
historic reservoir targetfile.
Reservoirs Explicitly Modeled
Thirteen (13) reservoirs are explicitly included in the Rio Grande Surface Water Model. This
includes twelve (12) reservoirs within Colorado and one (1) in New Mexico (Costilla Reservoir).
The reservoirs explicitly represented are generally those having cumulative decreed rights for
greater than 5,000 of (Table 1). Selection of key reservoir structures is further discussed in a
memorandum documenting Task 6.2.
