Technical Support for the Basin
Roundtables – Needs Assessment
Development and Project Management
Assistance

This task order will provide the roundtables with development of their needs
assessment s based upon their preliminary direction and project management
assistance until June 30 , 200 7 . Consultant will develop work plans and conduct
technical assistance to the roundtables as outlined below and assist State Project
Manager in overall project ma nagement of the Technical Support for the Basin
Roundtables. For all deliverables, associated with tasks described throughout this task
order, that produce data, technical reports, or other products that need to be
considered in terms of common technical p latform, the Consultant will work with the
CWCB to provide this information in a format that it can be tracked and included into
databases maintained by CWCB such as the Decision Support Systems and the Water
Resource Information Center . The budget for eac h roundtable will be tracked
independently and the Con sultant will report each Basin R oundtable budget status in
separate line items on invoices related to this task order.

Task 1 Development of Needs Assessment Work Plans
and Technical Assistance to Basi n Roundtables
All of the Basin R oundtables have requested technical assistance ( HB 06 - 1400 funding )
for task order completion to the State Project Manager. The task orders and the level
of funding requested by each roundtable are described below. The tasks that the
consultant will complete for each roundtable through June 30, 2007 and associated fee
are also summarized.
1.1 Arkansas Basin Roundtable
1.1.1 Summary of Arkansas Basin Roundtable Request
To further their needs assessment the Arkansas Roundtable h as requested Consultant
support to coordinate with and collect, collate and screen reports and studies from the
Water Resource Research Institute of the Colorado State University, the Colorado
Water Conservation Board, the Colorado Geological Survey and in dividual water
agencies related to the Arkansas Basin. In addition, the Consultant will interface with
the needs assessment subcommittee and the USGS to provide information gathered
from the above entities. In addition, the Consultant will assist in organi zing a
"working group" of interested parties to develop a GIS relational database for data
collected under this effort.
