1.1.2 Arkansas Basin Roundtable Tasks Authorized under Task Order 2007 -
003
The Consultant will conduct three meetings with the needs assessment committee to
address their needs matrix. The first meeting will be to facilitate a brainstorming
session on the documents that will need to be collected from the Water Resource
Research Institute of the Colorado St ate University, the Colorado Water Conservation
Board, the Colorado Geological Survey and individual water agencies related to the
Arkansas Basin. During the first meeting the Consultant will also work with the needs
assessment subcommittee to develop a li st of contacts needed to be made regarding
the "working group." Between the first and second meeting, the Consultant will
gather materials recommended from the first meeting. During the second meeting the
consultant will report out on the data collection e fforts and recommend next steps to
the assessment subcommittee. During the third meeting the Consultant will facilitate
a meeting between the needs assessment subcommittee and the "working group" to
report out on progress made by the Consultant and the USG S on the needs
assessment matrix. During the third meeting, next steps for assistance in completing
the matrix will be summarized. The Consultant will summarize the action items from
each meeting. During the meetings use of the matrix and in context of a c ommon
technical platform will be discussed.
Deliverables: Bibliographic information and draft matrix for roundtable review.

1.2 Colorado Basin Roundtable
1.2.1 Summary of Colorado Basin Roundtable Request
To further their needs as sessment the Colorado Basin Roundtable has requested a task
order to develop a work plan to address the following:
1) Non - consumptive needs – develop statewide standard method for developing non -
consumptive needs assessment and customize for the Colorado B asin.
2) Consumptive use needs – develop a work plan to evaluate future projects to
address Colorado Basin's 62,000 AF gap identified in SWSI.
3) Energy needs – develop a work plan to execute the joint Colorado and
Yampa/White roundtables energy study.
