Construction Fund Non-Reimbursable Funding Request

The Statewide Water Supply Initiative (SWSI) team has completed our final report. At the July
2004 Board meeting in Delta the Board voted unanimously to continue work: on water supply and
demand issues, which reach across river basins. The Board requested that this work be completed
between December 2004 and July 2005 utilizing existing funds that were authorized by legislature in
last years Construction Fund Request.

In addition, there are a number of activities, which are currently contemplated for ongoing
implementation beyond July 2005. A conceptual outline of potential ongoing implementation
activities is provided below.

I. Basin Roundtable Meetings
CWCB will conduct additional Basin Roundtable (BRT) meetings to update the basins on the
results of work: completed and new information.

II. Data Refresh and Update

SWSI has generated a significant amount of data. The BRT's and the public will need time to
review and understand the information and to provide feedback. Once feedback is obtained it
is anticipated that new or revised data sets may be needed.
