<br />rli12,)'i'=l <br />UU!..I&..'''-''-; <br /> <br />,-5:";;''0 <br />\.:~t;'4 <br /> <br />,,~~;~ <br /> <br />Case Studies <br /> <br />A case study of the Willamette River Rasin and the <br />Puget Sound Comprehensive Studies was ipresented <br />early in the Conference to provide an ,"on the <br />ground" example of a typical public involvement <br />problem. <br /> <br />Fred Gustafson, Chairman of the Willamette Study <br />task force and Henry Stewart, Chief Planning <br />Branch, Corps of Engineers, Portland, Oregon <br />presented an illustrated talk on the state and <br />federal viewpoints of public involvement activities <br />carried on by coordinating task forces during the <br />studies. <br /> <br />Dennis Lundblad, Washington State Department of <br />Ecology and Sydney Steinborn, Chief of Engineering <br />Division, Corps of Engineers, Seattle, Washington, <br />presented the Puget Sound Task Force Study -- how <br />it began, what it was to do, and the lessons <br />learned.
