The water is to be <br />diverted from the San Juan River at the Navajo Dam. <br />San Juan River Committee. <br />On April 11, 1958, a joint Legal and Engineering Committee <br />was appointed by the State of Colorado for the purpose of study of <br />the effects the two New Mexico projects may have on the future devel- <br />opment of water resources in the San Juan River basin in the State of <br />Colorado. The report is prepared as a guide to the Legal <br /> <br />Committee and as a reference for a joint Legal and Engineering Com- <br /> <br />mittee determination of the effects the San Juan-Chama and the Navajo <br /> <br />Projects will have on future water development in the State of Colo- <br /> <br />rado. <br /> <br />New Mexico Present and Planned Use of Water. <br /> <br />Under date of June 10, 1958, State Engineer S. E.
