<br />TASK NO: 12 <br /> <br />Botanical Resource Studies <br /> <br />The purpose of the Botanical Resource Studies is to identify and <br />document the important plant communities and species of special concern <br />in the project area. These studies will be done in two phases. The <br />first phase, Botanical Characterization and Effects Assessment will <br />include the following subtasks: botanical characterization, species of <br />special concern documentation, and effects assessment. The results of <br />the effects assessment will become the basis for the second phase, <br />Mitigation Proposals. Mitigation proposals will involve identifying <br />measures to mitigate the effects of the Cache 1a Poudre project on <br />botanical resources, to fulfill state and federal mitigation <br />requirements.
