The SEO maintains and updates a database of geophysical well logs for the
Denver Basin. This database is available as Basic Data Report II (George van Slyke,
SEO, pers. comm., March 2001). At present the database contains data for approximately
4000 logs. Aquifer top and bottom elevation data is included in this database, and it is
used in the SEO's groundwater administration for the Denver Basin.

)

Finally, we acquired and analyzed USGS data for aquifer top and bottom elevations. The
data was obtained through Ned Banta of the USGS from the NWlS. An on-line search of
the NWIS revealed no additional Denver Basin data beyond that provided by Ned Banta.

6.2 Screening Methodologies

As part of the process of incorporating the newly acquired data into the groundwater
model, we needed to review and screen the data against existing SB-74 model
parameterizations. Only newly acquired South Metro data will be used in the evaluation

)

Hydrosphere Resource Consultants
1002 Walnut Suite 200, Boulder, CO 80302
PO Box 445, Socorro, NM 87801
