<n
c
C"".
C'J

It is Gstilllf'.tcd that $.12,500 of spGcial costs in connection

c

'Il'i th the Adjustment Act vd.ll bo incurrGd in tho opGr1eting year

ending May 31, 19/.2 and the proj8ct opere, tion and maintenance cost

for that year is t~ken as $566,900. For subsequGnt years the

estimate is taken as $554,400.

Due to the illlpossi bili ty of making dependable estimates of

the costs of operation and maintenance over a long period in the

future, and recognizing the uncertain value of at least a part of

the data on which the present estimate has been made, it is

believed that, at least for some years in the immediate future,

the influence of this factor should reflect, as nearly as possible,

the actual costs of the inUllediate past. To this eOO it is proposed

tha t these estimates of operation mrl..nnintenance should be subject

to revision an.rmally.

A further reason for considGring ,nnlwl adjustments for

operation and maintenance lies in the Dossibility of now legislation

or reguletions affecting some ef these i kms, the effects of which

could then be introduced from year to year, ~s they might become

effective.

The estima tes of the costs of operation and mainten, mce for

those parts of the project to be operated by the Agents have been

taken as estimated by them.

Replacement Annuities.

Exhibits 42, 42a, 43, 56, 5613., and 63, collectively, gave the

costs, estimated lives and annuities proposed for the various items

18
