Most or our company Directors have known Mr. Idler for sometime,
since he has been associated in the agricultural industry in the
Lamar area. Mr. Idler is President o~ the Fort Bent Ditch Company,
which is below John Martin Dam and has water rights on the
Arkansas River, in District 67, in the Lamar area. Mr. Idler has
also been very active in irrigation and agricultural matters over
a period of years in the Arkansas River Valley.

Mr. Leo Idler, as we indicated, is a third generation or rarmers
in this area and his grandrather settled in the Arkansas River
Valley in the 1880's. He was born here, is a native Coloradan,
is married, and has a very rine ramily, with three or his sons
a~tively rarming with him, over 3500 acres in the Prowers County
area. Mr. Idler attended Lamar schools and has been an active
member or the Farmer's Union, supporting agricultural interests in
Colorado. In addition to being President of the Fort Bent Ditch
Company, he owns and operates seven wells, to supplement his riparian
rights on the Arkansas River. His sons are not only active with
him in the farming operation, but they have been active in the
National Farm Organization, which supports National Agriculture, and
he also has a daughter teaching in the area.
