<br />Metropolitan Water Supply Investigations - Phase II Plan of Study <br />.8/16/94 5:04 PM <br /> <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />concentrate the alluvial aquifer study on the Beebe Draw area where water can <br />be stored in the subsurface for long periods of time, <br /> <br />The Beebe Draw work will consist of a review of background information and <br />identify issues related to potential use of the Beebe Draw aquifer between Barr <br />Lake and Milton Reservoir. <br /> <br />Identify aquifer characteristics, aquifer boundaries, storage, timing and <br />volume potential. <br /> <br />Provide design criteria and economic analysis for storage, augmentation and <br />withdrawal from the Beebe Draw aquifer. <br /> <br />b) Approach <br /> <br />Conduct an inventory of Beebe Draw alluvial groundwater resources and <br />aquifer characteristics based on existing studies, well logs and consultant's <br />background knowledge. <br /> <br />Locate the Beebe Draw aquifer boundaries, identify aquifer properties and <br />volume potential for storage. <br /> <br />Delineate areas where water returns to Beebe Seep and canals and the general <br />timing of the returns. <br /> <br />Identify areas where recharged water can be appropriated by wells or from <br />Beebe Seep and canals, after it discharges froin the aquifer. <br /> <br />Identify areas of water quality concern, <br /> <br />c) Output <br />A memorandum report presenting compiled findings with accompanying <br />graphs, maps and tables as needed. <br /> <br />d) Sub-Task Leader: Robert Tafelski <br /> <br />4.
