On lands acquired at each site, the grazing of stock should <br />be regulated by the agency responsible for the administretion of the <br /> <br />area in such a manner as to protect the area from overgrazing and to <br /> <br />eliminate the danger of water pollution from that source. <br /> <br />D. The Bureau of ReclaillB.tion should give due consideration to <br /> <br />the recreational and scenic values of all sites when locating and <br /> <br />constructing permanent tOiln sites, construction camps, access roads, <br /> <br />borrow pits, waste or spoil areas, power lines and the relocation of <br /> <br />highways etcetera, in order not to destroy existing values. <br /> <br />To the extent its resources permit, the National fark Service <br /> <br />will be interested in reviewing and commenting upon location plane.tor <br /> <br />any permanent or temporary construction or relocation project required <br /> <br />on Bureau of Reclamation lands adjacent to t he shores of reservoir <br /> <br />sites, prior to construction. <br /> <br />E. If and when the project is authorized, it is recommended that <br /> <br />the Bureau consider entering into agreements at an appropriate time <br /> <br />with the United States Forest Service relative to the development and <br /> <br />administration of recreational facilities for reservoirs that are <br /> <br />wholly or substantially within the boundaries of national forests. <br /> <br />When recreational developments are recommended for sites not within or <br /> <br />closely related to national forests, exploration of the possibilities <br /> <br />of interestin~ a competent state, county or local agency in assuming <br /> <br />the responsibility for administration of these areas should be made at <br /> <br />the appropriate time. <br /> <br />7 <br />
