North Sterling Irrigation District

The North Sterling Irrigation District is a public irrigation

district organized under the 1905 Statuto. It serves about 40,000

acres of land in the vicinity of Sterling, Colorado. It owns the

.

.

North Sterling Inlet Canal, which is 63 miles long, and the Point
of Rocks Reservoir (which is usually called the North Sterling

Reservoir). The Reservoir has a capacity of 70,000 acro-foet.
The District also owns the North Sterling Outlet Canal, which

.

takes water out of the reservoir and distributes it to the water

.

users in the District. All lands in the District are irrigated

under the North Sterling Outlet Canal and none of the water from

the Point of Rocks Reservoir is ever released to the South Platte

WOOOWARD.CLYDE_SHERARD AND ASSOCIATES
