The Superintendent is Cecil Osborne,
and the Secretary is Carl Kinkel.
A "district acre" water right means 1/21,424 of all District
water. District water is made up of:
(a) The reservoir water represented by the 1895-3/4 shares
of Company stock;
(b) Water diverted under a junior 1907 direct flow decree
for 270 c/f/s;
(c) Reservoir water represented by 67 shares in the Morgan-
Prewitt Reservoir Company, owned by the District;
(d) 6,000 units of C-BT water allotted tofue Riverside
District by the NCWCD;
(e) Water produced from one well owned by the District which
pumps about 5 c/f/s into the distribution canal;
(f) Water represented by water rights (either "foreign
private Company rights", or rights in other systems)
leased to the District on a seasonal basis.
Some of the above water is delivered each year to those
"foreign private right" owners in the Company who have not leased
their rights to the District. We do not know how the bookkeeping
on this is handled between the Company and the District.
The balance of the water described above is available for
delivery to the taxpaying lands in the District. Under the 1905
Statute each acre is entitled to its pro rata share without regard
to canal shrinkage.
