<br />)' <br /> <br />oOn7?3 <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Data are being collected and assembled for Salinity Control Studies. <br />Preparation of a reconnaissance report will be made this fiscal year. <br />This study is being made in cooperation with the Federal Water Pollution <br />Control Administration. <br /> <br />ADVANCE PLANNING <br /> <br />Preconstruction activities on the Fruitland Mesa Project are progressing <br />satisfactori:q. A draft of the repayment contract has been approved for <br />negotiations with the Fruitland Mesa Water Conservancy District. These <br />negotiations are underway., Other preconstruct ion activities in progress <br />consist of collection of data for specification designs and estimates <br />for Gould Canal structures and Fruitland Mesa Canal Diversion Dam and <br />studies pertaining to new farm units. <br /> <br />Advance planning activities on the Savery-Pot Hook Project are well ad- <br />vanced or completed in various areas of study such as plan formulation, <br />land classification and drainage investigations, geologic studies, and <br />field surveys. The definite plan report is scheduled to be completed <br />in the fall of 1970. <br /> <br />SMALL RECLAMATION PROJECTS <br /> <br />The Overland Ditch and Reservoir Company, Hotchkiss, COlorado, has sub- <br />mitted designs and estimates for the enlargement of Overland Reservoir <br />under a Small Project loan. Review of the designs and estimates has <br />been completed and our suggested design changes are being made by the <br />engineer representing the Company. Fish and wildlife and recreation <br />evaluations by cooperating Federal and State agencies are in progress. <br /> <br />The Farmers Water Development Company, Norwood, Colorado, has submitted <br />a draft of application report on a proposal to enlarge the Gurley Res- <br />ervoir. Regional Office personnel recent:q met with the engineers rep- <br />resenting the company to discuss water supp:q determinations, reservoir <br />sizing, deSigns and estimates, and other data required in the report. <br />Fish and wildlife and recreation evaluations are in progress by the <br />Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife and the Colorado Division of Game, <br />Fish, and Parks. <br /> <br />The Yamcolo Reservoir Company, Yampa, Colorado, has prepared designsand <br />estimates for a 6,000-acre-foot reservoir on the Upper Yampa River. The <br />Company engineer and the Bureau are meeting November 7 for further dis- <br />cussion and consideration of the spillway design problem. <br /> <br />5 <br />
