Exceptional draw down prior to the high runoff season allowed the
reservoir to provide a great deal of river regulation, Carry-over
storage in the Bighorn area was above normal at the end of the year.
~ith limited irrigation demands, system generation was well below
average, Nearly 550 million kilowatt hours of energy was imported
from the MRll-Eastern Division System to meet a load of nearly
1,920 million kilowatt hours during Water Year 1967,

1968 Outlook

Total Western Division System storage at the beginning of Water
Year 1968 is above the ten-year average, Storage reserves of the
Kendrick and Colorado-Big Thompson Projects are better than last
year but remain below average, Storage water ownerships of the
North Platte Project and the Glendo Unit are well above average.
Carry-over storage in the Bighorn Reservoirs is also well above
average. Storage reserves are sufficient, regardless of inflow
condition, to supply normal full irrigation requirements to all
users during Water Year 1968, With reasonable minimum inflow
conditions, storage reserves would be greatly depleted in all
areas. Heavy import of energy from the MRB-Eastern Division
System will be necessary under all inflow conditions,

Fith most probable inflow, Green Mountain Reservoir storage would
be lowered to 50,000 a.f. content by April 30, The Cities of Denver
and Colorado Springs would withhold about 78,000 a.f, of Blue River
water during the May-July period, Green Mountain Reservoir would
fill by the end of July and carry-over storage would be normal
at the end of the year, All available water totaling 41,500 a,f,
would be pumped from Willow Creek Reservoir to Lake Granby during
the season, Adams Tunnel diversions would lower storage in Lake
Granbyto about 182,000 a,f, by the end of April, Lake Granby
would fill to nearly 336,000 a.f. content in July, A total of
197,000 a.f, of water would be diverted to the Eastern Slope System
during the year. Carry-over storage in Lake Granby of 307,500 a.f,
at the end of the water year would be 75 percent of average, All
available Big Thompson River water would be diverted through the
Foothills Power System during May through August, Colorado-Big
Thompson Project storage reserves would be depleted by over
26,000 a,f, during the year in meeting an estimated supplemental
irrigation demand of 230,000 ,a,f, Winter releases would lower
storage in Seminoe Reservoir to about 220,000 a.f, by March 31,
The reservoir would fill to about 686,000 a,f, by the end of July,
Total seasonal release of about 714,000 a,f, would be necessary to
meet downstream water demands, Carry-over storage in Seminoe
Reservoir would be slightlY above average at the end of the year.
Pathfinder Reservoir would be filled to about 370,000 s.t. content
during the winter and would be evacuated to normal carry-over content
by the end of the year, With normal draw down of Alcova Reservoir
